Project Overview Nepal

The transmission line consists of 42.10 kms of 400 kV D/C twin moose transmission line from Dhalkebar to Bittamod (Nepal Border). It includes construction of OPGW for communication purposes. Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is the beneficiary of the line.

Project Benefits

The project establishes synchronous interconnection between Nepalese & Indian electrical grids so as to import power from India at present and export power from Nepal at a later stage upon completion of ongoing hydro projects in Nepal.
