The Cross Border Power Transmission Company Limited (“the Company”) was incorporated on 19th December 2006. The Company was set up for Development, Construction, Operation & Maintenance of India portion (90 KM) i.e. Muzaffarpur – Sursand section of 400 KV D/C Muzaffarpur – Dhalkebaar Indo – Nepal Cross Border Transmission Line (the “Project”). The development phase of the Project is complete & Construction is about to commence.

The main objects of CPTC inter alia includes to engage in the business of building, maintaining and operating transmission systems between India and neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Pakistan for the purpose of export and import of electricity, transmission of data and other related business.
